Reed Smith is pleased to announce that Thuy Nguyen, partner in its Real Estate Group, has been named a “2024 Woman of Influence,” presented by GlobeSt., in the Rising Star category. Nguyen was honored at the annual GlobeSt. “Women of Influence” awards dinner in Lake Tahoe, Calif., for her complex real estate transactions worth, in aggregate, more than $1.2 billion in just the last two years alone.

She is also shortlisted for the “2024 Rising Star of the Year Award.”

Nguyen, who was promoted to partner on Jan. 1, 2024, focuses on complex commercial real estate transactions, where she represents institutional developers, owners, lenders, buyers, and sellers in transactions involving acquisition, disposition, leasing and secured finance throughout California and the United States.

Nguyen brings a record of accomplishment in representing real estate investment trusts and other institutional clients in acquisitions and sale-leaseback transactions of net lease properties, often involving major multi-state portfolios of properties and under extremely aggressive timelines. She advises clients in all stages of a transaction, from the structuring of the deal to the management of diligence to the negotiation of key documents, including purchase and sale agreements and long-term lease agreements. She also has experience in transactions involving the acquisition and development of renewable energy facilities, including wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

Since 1983, GlobeSt.’s “Women of Influence” has recognized commercial real estate female professionals for their remarkable achievements. Those honored have personally impacted the real estate market and have significantly driven the industry to new heights through their outstanding work. The “Women of Influence” will be profiled on GlobeSt.com in late July.
