West Coast Land Use and Environment attorneys Jennifer Hernandez and Chelsea Maclean will participate in the 2024 California Land Use Law Conference hosted by CLE International. This two-day event, taking place in San Francisco, will feature presentations from leading practitioners on land use and policy updates in the Golden State.

Ms. Maclean will speak on the first day of the conference about the builder's remedy, an aspect of state housing law that allows developers to bypass local zoning regulations where local governments do not have a compliant housing element, provided their projects meet certain criteria. She will explain how exactly this tool works and review new legal developments surrounding it.

Ms. Hernandez will speak on the second day of the conference about the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She will provide updates on CEQA case law, policy and practice.
