According to the court documents, Austin Sanchez was injured on August 21, 2023, when an elevator at the Parkmerced Apartments malfunctioned while he was inside. The complaint alleges that the defendants—Parkmerced Owner LLC, Park Merced Corp Housing, Parkmerced Apartments, and various unnamed individuals and entities—were responsible for maintaining the property but failed to do so adequately.
