On January 1, 2025, a new law will go into effect in Illinois requiring employer job postings to include pay and benefit information. This new law also will apply to third parties involved in publicizing job opportunities and for employers posting internal notices of job openings and promotional opportunities. This webinar will provide details on the new law and guidance provided by the Illinois Department of Labor, which is responsible for enforcing this new law. What is the scope of the new law? In what circumstances does the law not apply to external job postings or internal promotional opportunities? What are the penalties for non-compliance?

In review of the new Illinois law, the presenters also will provide some practical guidance on compliance and what they have learned from similar job posting laws enacted around the U.S. This fast-paced webinar will feature Barry Hartstein, Co-Chair of Littler's EEO & Diversity Practice based in Chicago, and Joy Rosenquist, Littler Of Counsel, based in California, who has been providing guidance to employers around the country on equal pay and job posting requirements.
