On April 9, 2025, a couple residing in Los Angeles County filed a lawsuit against a family member, alleging breach of contract and fraud. Jeffery and Okpun Drazkowski initiated the legal action in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, against Kay Kwon. The case centers around an alleged verbal agreement for a loan that was not used as intended.

The plaintiffs, Jeffery and Okpun Drazkowski, are suing Kay Kwon, who is Okpun's biological sister and Jeffery's sister-in-law. According to the complaint, on March 17, 2025, Kwon approached the Drazkowskis seeking financial assistance for her divorce settlement. She claimed she needed $250,000 to settle with her husband and requested a $50,000 interest-free loan from the plaintiffs. The Drazkowskis agreed to this request under the condition that Kwon would repay them within two months by refinancing her home. However, it was later discovered that Kwon did not use the funds for her divorce settlement but instead invested in what is believed to be a fraudulent TikTok scheme.

Upon learning about this misuse from Kwon's son on March 24, 2025, the plaintiffs demanded immediate repayment of their money. Since then, communication between the parties has ceased. In their lawsuit, the Drazkowskis accuse Kwon of breaching their verbal contract by failing to disclose her true intentions for borrowing the money and subsequently using it for unauthorized purposes.

The plaintiffs have laid out four causes of action: breach of contract, fraud, money lent under false pretenses, and money had and received. They are seeking damages amounting to $50,000 plus costs incurred due to these actions. Each cause of action reiterates their claim that they suffered financial losses because of Kwon's actions.

In their prayer for relief submitted to the court, Jeffery and Okpun Drazkowski request general damages totaling $50,000 across all causes of action along with any other orders deemed just by the court. Both parties have verified their claims under penalty of perjury according to California state laws.

This case is being handled without representation as both plaintiffs are proceeding pro se (in propria persona). No attorneys or law firms are involved at this stage; hence there are no specific lawyers or judges mentioned in connection with this case apart from Y. Chavez who reviewed it upon filing.
