SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco County woman is suing a pet food producer over claims it mislabels its products.

Adrienne Fraser filed a class-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Jan. 5 against Wysong Corp. and Does 1 to 25, citing violations of the California Unfair Competition Law and the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act.

According to the suit, Wysong labeled its pet food as Made in USA when it allegedly contains ingredients sourced from foreign countries. Fraser alleges that the amount she paid for the product is more than the value of the product she received.

Fraser is seeking an injunction ordering Wysong to stop its alleged violation of California law, an award of monetary relief, and attorneys' and court fees. Eustace de Saint Phalle and Joseph R. Lucia of Rains Lucia Stern, PC of San Francisco will represent Fraser.
