SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company seeks to be reimbursed after a client's property was allegedly damaged by trees.
Travelers Commercial Insurance Co., as subrogee for Jerome Geffner, filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Christian Hansen and Does 1 through 25, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was obligated to pay damages in the amount of $181,000 in behalf of Geffner, the insured owner of a Oakland property damaged by trees belonging to the defendants on Dec. 30, 2014. The plaintiff holds Hansen and Does 1 through 25 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the trees on their property despite warnings.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages amounting to $181,000, interest and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. It is represented by Karen-Denise Lee of Diederich & Associates in Glendale.
