California woman alleges injuries in Highway 39 accident

SACRAMENTO – A Colfax woman has filed a suit against an Oregon woman over injuries allegedly sustained in an automobile accident.

Molly Chase filed a complaint on March 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Julia Basden and Does 1-10, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 13, 2014, she sustained injuries while driving on Highway 39 in Klamath County, Oregon when a car driven by the defendant struck hers. The suit states that Basden failed to obey a stop sign and that Chase sustained personal injuries.

The plaintiff seeks the following: damages of more than $75,000, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Stephen J. Foondos of United Law Center in Roseville.
