SAN FRANCISCO – A doctor has filed suit against his insurance company seeking disability benefits.
Dr. Glenn M. Strome filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Radnet Employee Benefit Plan and Radnet Management Inc., plan administrator, citing violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he did not receive any disability benefits despite fulfilling every condition under the plan's terms and conditions. The plaintiff holds Radnet Employee Benefit Plan and Radnet Management Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to conduct a proper investigation and review of his claim and failed to provide relevant information and documents to the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks the following: all benefits due under the plan, plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Julian M. Baum and Lisa A. Lawrence of Julian M. Baum & Associates in Novato.
