SAN FRANCISCO – A Richmond man and a Berkeley company have filed a suit against a Mill Valley man alleging racketeering.
Joel Sjostrom and Aegis Retail One LLC filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Harry R. Kraatz, HKSB LLC and Does 1-50, citing alleged fraud, unfair competition, violation of Racketeering and Corrupt Organizations Act and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages due to the fraudulent acts by Kraatz. The plaintiff holds Harry R. Kraatz and HKSB LLC and Does 1-50 responsible because Kraatz allegedly used his position as a CEO of MC2, a subsidiary of Aegis, to gain information for the purpose of extorting the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs seek the following: compensation for all damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just and proper. They are represented by Eamon Jafari and Jacob R. Gould of Barrington Legal Inc. in Los Angeles.
