Man alleges US Bank repeatedly called him in violation of TCPA

SACRAMENTO – A Redding man alleges that a bank wrongfully contacted plaintiff 141 times in an attempt to collect a debt.

Jeffrey Augusto filed a complaint on March 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against US Bank NA, citing violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between November 2015 and March, he received a numerous calls from the defendant demanding payment for a debt he purportedly owed, despite telling a representative to stop placing calls to his cellphone. The plaintiff holds US Bank responsible because the defendant allegedly called plaintiff multiple times using an automatic telephone dialing system without consent from the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Ryan Lee of Law Offices of Ryan Lee PLLC in Scottsdale, Arizona.
