SAN FRANCISCO – A Spanish-language television producer alleges a man illegally distributed copies of its programming over YouTube.

Technologias Avanzadas RD SRL filed a complaint on April 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Joan Martinez and Does 1 through 50, citing copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between October 2014 and April 7, 2016, Technologias Avanzadas RD SRL sustained damages to its business as a result of its works being used without its consent. The plaintiff holds Joan Martinez and Does 1 through 50 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed infringing copies of plaintiff's works over YouTube despite plaintiff's take-down notices.

The plaintiff seeks permanent injunction against the defendant, damages of an amount permitted by the law, payment of ill-gotten gains from the illegal transactions entered, damages to be proven in trial for unjust enrichment, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Michael Indrajana of Law Offices of Michael Indrajana in South San Francisco.
