Engineered Door Industries Inc. files suit alleging it wasn't paid for work completed

SACRAMENTO – A County of Los Angeles subcontractor has filed suit against a West Sacramento business alleging it was not paid for work on a construction project.

United States of America for the use and benefit of Engineered Door Industries Inc. filed a complaint on April 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against K.O.O. Construction Inc. and Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance, alleging that they failed to pay for delivered products.

According to the complaint, the parties entered into an agreement for the construction of a building at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport. The suit states Engineered Door Industries finished work in October 2015 but has not been paid by the defendants.

The plaintiffs seek the sum of $97,337.25 according to proof, interest at the legal rate from Oct. 9, 2015, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Larry A. Rothstein of Law Offices of Larry A. Rothstein in Westlake Village.
