SAN FRANCISCO – A California corporation alleges an Illinois business manufactures products that infringe on a patent it owns.

Applied Integrated Systems Inc. filed a complaint on May 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Cast Aluminum Solutions LLC, alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as a result of its Patent No. '965, titled Heat Exchanger for High Purity and Corrosive Fluids, being infringed. The plaintiff holds Cast Aluminum Solutions LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly distributes products that infringes the plaintiff's patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against the defendant, all damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Alfredo A. Bismonte, Ron C. Finley, Kimberly P. Zapata and Jeremy M. Duggan of Beck, Bismonte & Finley LLP in San Jose.
