Hireforce files suit against former employee alleging he deleted information

Contract 05

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco corporation alleges that a former employee deleted and took with him copies of secret information.

Hireforce filed a complaint on June 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Brett Barlow citing breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business due to the destruction and misappropriation of its important business assets by the defendant and now it is unable to service its existing and potential clients. The plaintiff holds Barlow responsible because the defendant allegedly deleted plaintiff's short lists in the system and transmitted a high volume of plaintiff's intellectual and proprietary tools to himself via email upon his resignation from the company in May.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunction against the defendant, all damages plus interest, punitive and exemplary damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Robert Ottinger of The Ottinger Firm PC in San Francisco.
