Velex Inc., Nexius Solutions Inc. accused of wrongful termination

SAN FRANCISCO – A Madera man alleges he was wrongfully terminated.

Jason Pimentel filed a complaint on June 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Velex Inc., Nexius Solutions Inc. and Does 1 to 10 alleging violation California labor codes, unfair competition, wrongful discharge and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from September 2014 until his termination, he worked for more than 40 hours but was not paid any overtime wages. He also alleges he was wrongfully terminated for complaining about safety issues and requesting time off for medical needs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, all damages, all penalties and interest, payment of all statutory obligations, prejudgment interest at the legal rate, restitution and disgorgement, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just.
