FRESNO – A man alleges a faulty ladder caused him injuries.
John Baker filed a complaint on June 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, Fresno Division against Cottrell Inc. and Does 1 to 25 alleging that they failed to provide proper equipment that is free of any design defects.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 18, 2014, he suffered physical injuries when he accidentally slipped and fell from an upper deck because the ladder he was using failed while he was loading vehicles on his trailer. The plaintiff holds Cottrell Inc. and Does 1 to 25 responsible because the defendants allegedly designed, manufactured and distributed defective ladders that caused injuries to plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general damages in a sum of more than $100,000, all medical expenses and special damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Michael Stone-Molloy of The Lion's Law Office in Los Angeles.
