Man claims he was wrongfully terminated by Ecothrift Vallejo

Wrongful term 10

SAN FRANCISCO – A store manager alleges he was wrongfully terminated while taking an approved leave.

Bryan Dalton filed a complaint on June 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against J. Mann Inc., doing business as Ecothrift Vallejo, and Does 1 through 20 alleging violation of the Family Medical Leave Act

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was wrongfully relieved from his position while he was taking FMLA leave to care for his parents. The plaintiff holds J. Mann Inc. and Does 1 through 20 responsible because the defendants allegedly terminated plaintiff's employment in January without providing reasonable cause.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, unpaid wages, lost wages and employee benefits, liquidated damages, general damages, punitive damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Stephen M. Murphy and P. Bobby Shukla of Law Offices of Stephen M. Murphy in San Francisco.
