LOS ANGELES – A Pasadena company is seeking injunction from the court against a Irvine company over allegations the defendant company infringed a patent for a flash memory device.

USB Technologies LLC filed a complaint on July 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Gigastone America Corp. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained damages to its business as the result of its '866 patented design regarding a double interface flash memory card being infringed by the defendant. The plaintiff holds Gigastone America Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly distributed a similar product to the plaintiff's.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment of damages, costs, royalties, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Rasheed M. McWilliams and Obi I. Iloputaife of Cotman IP Law Group PLC in Pasadena.
