South Pacific & China Supply Inc. accused of importing counterfeit Coach bags

LOS ANGELES – A Rowland Heights business and its owner are facing allegations they imported counterfeit products.

Coach Inc. and Coach Services Inc. filed a complaint on July 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jun Zhan and South Pacific & China Supply Inc. alleging unfair competition, trademark infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their business and reputation as the result of counterfeit copies of their products being imported by the defendants. The plaintiffs holds Zhan and South Pacific & China Supply Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly imported counterfeit copies of plaintiff's products that were lesser in quality to deceive consumers.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek injunction restraining and enjoining the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's trademark, order the defendant to deliver all infringing goods for destruction, award plaintiff all profits derived from the unlawful act, treble and statutory damages, general damages, special damages and exemplary damages, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just.
