LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles fabric company alleges other companies copied its designs in their own apparel.

Jitrade Inc. filed a complaint on July 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Charlotte Russe Inc.; MI in Fashion Inc.; Bee 3 Stars Corp.; doing business as Fashiongo.net; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as the result of its copyrighted designs being used and sold without its authority by the defendants. The plaintiff holds Charlotte Russe Inc.; MI in Fashion Inc.; Bee 3 Stars Corp.; doing business as Fashiongo.net; and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed fabrics that have a similar design as plaintiff's and sold them through online and offline stores.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, award plaintiff all profits plus all losses, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
