Ross Stores, Greena accused of using copyrighted fabric designs

LOS ANGELES – A Commerce company and a Dublin company are accused by a Los Angeles business of distributing garments with its copyrighted fabric designs without authorization.

Neman Brothers & Associates Inc. filed a complaint on July 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Ross Stores Inc., Greena Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as the result of its copyrighted designs being used on garments without its authority. The plaintiff holds Ross Stores Inc., Greena Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed garments using fabrics that bear plaintiff's designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, award all profits of the defendants to plaintiff plus losses and statutory damages, all legal fees and interest, and any other relief as the court deems just.
