Placentia employees file suit alleging they are owed unpaid overtime wages

Law money 10

LOS ANGELES – Current employees of the city of Placentia allege that they have not been paid overtime wages.

Sean Malone, Jonathon Ainley, Jason Alcala, Joseph Connell, et al. filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the city of Placentia and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours per week for the defendants but were not paid any overtime premiums. The plaintiffs hold the city of Placentia and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants also allegedly failed and refused to include all forms of compensation when calculating for the plaintiffs' wages.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual, consequential, liquidated, incidental loss and damages, any other damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Michael A. McGill of Adams, Ferrone & Ferrone in Westlake Village.
