Fabric designs were used without permission, Textile 26 Corp. claims

LOS ANGELES – Two companies are facing allegations from a Los Angeles company that they used its fabric designs without permission.

Textile 26 Corp. filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Baldwin Sun Inc. Burlington Stores Inc. alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as the result of its designs being used and reproduced without its permission. The plaintiff holds Baldwin Sun Inc., Burlington Stores Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and advertised garments made of fabric that features plaintiff's designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, award plaintiff all profits and damages derived from the unlawful act, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
