Los Angeles County woman accused of defaulting on student loan

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County woman is accused of not paying back a student loan.

United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Denise A. Burbridge, also known as Deniz A. Iriajen, alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt to plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Burbridge allegedly failed to pay it for the principal amount of her debt plus interest despite the promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $6,386.51 plus interest of $4,640.30, plus further interest at the rate of 31 cents and 92 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull, A.P.C. in Northridge.
