LOS ANGELES – A couple alleges their former Florida employer owes them unpaid wages.

Alfred Frank and Debra Lynne Menconi filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Mirage Group Consultants Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, California Labor Code and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they both worked for the defendant from July 2010 to July, as president and secretary, respectively. However, they allege their monthly wages and expenses were inconsistent and they were also not paid overtime premiums. The plaintiffs hold Mirage Group Consultants Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay the federal minimum wages, failed to pay overtime compensation and failed to pay agreed expenses.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages, attorneys’ fees, unpaid wages, overtime premiums, penalties, interest and further relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Victoria E. Brieant of Law Office of Victoria E. Brieant PA in Coral Gables, Florida and Luis E. Reynoso of The Law Office of Luis E. Reynoso PA in Miami.
