Phone 06

SACRAMENTO – A Sacramento County couple has filed a class-action suit against a Los Angeles County business over allegedly unsolicited phone calls.

Bob Hayes and Susan Hayes filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Sept. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Webprops International Inc., doing business as Webpromotiongifts.com, Matthew Gerchow and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that beginning in December 2015, they have been contacted several times by the defendants despite having no prior business relationship. The plaintiffs holds Webprops International Inc., Gerchow and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact the plaintiffs and continued to call after being asked to stop.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek statutory damages, injunctive relief, and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Todd M. Friedman, Meghan E. George and Adrian R. Bacon of The Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
