Federal government seeks repayment of loan from Riverside County resident

LOS ANGELES – A Riverside County woman is accused of failing to pay back her student loan.

United States of America, on behalf of the Department of Education, filed a complaint on Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Dominique S. Calloway, also known as Dominique Williams, alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt to plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Calloway failed to pay the principal amount of her debt including interest to plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,432.75 plus interest of $582.62 with further interest at 8 percent per annum accruing at 53 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull APC in Northridge.
