Phone 09

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County consumer has filed a class-action lawsuit against a debt collector alleging it harassed her with the frequency of its calls.

Seana Goodson filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Sept. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against I.C. System Inc. alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in 2015, the defendant began calling her in an attempt to collect an alleged debt. The plaintiff holds I.C. System Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact plaintiff despite her requests to stop calling her and for calling her multiple times a day.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
