Sream alleges Smoker's Paradise & Hookah Lounge Inc. sells counterfeit pipes

LOS ANGELES – A Hesperia retailer is accusing of selling counterfeit versions of a certain brand of water pipes and related parts.

Sream Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Smoker's Paradise & Hookah Lounge Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement, counterfeiting and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff has the exclusive license to manufacture and market RooR water pipes and accessories. The plaintiff holds Smoker's Paradise & Hookah Lounge Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold counterfeit copies of RooR products.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing the RooR trademark, profits and statutory damages of up to $2,000,000 per defendant, treble damages, exemplary and punitive damages, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Imran F. Vakil of Nexio PC in Costa Mesa.
