LOS ANGELES – A late artist's estate administrator alleges a fast food chain with a regional office in Long Beach has used artwork without authorization.

Jade Berreau, as administrator of the estate of Dashiell Snow, filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against the McDonald's Corp. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants allegedly used Dashiell Snow's graffiti artwork as decor in its restaurants without permission. The suit states Snow's family asked the defendant to remove the artwork in June, but the defendant has alleged refused the request.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, enjoin the defendant, order the defendant to remove all infringing display materials, disgorgement, punitive damages, all legal fees and interest, plus any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Jeffrey S. Gluck of Gluck Law Firm P.C. in Los Angeles and David Alden Erikson and S. Ryan Patterson of Erikson Law Group in Los Angeles.
