Phone 01

LOS ANGELES – An Oxnard individual alleges a janitorial company called her to solicit its services and has filed a class-action lawsuit.

Vanessa Garcia filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Oct. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Allstate Building & Office Maintenance Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in July, she suffered damages from receiving numerous unwanted calls on her cellular telephone from the defendant. She alleges her number is listed on the National Do-Not-Call Registry. The plaintiff holds Allstate Building & Office Maintenance Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
