SAN DIEGO – A Chula Vista man alleges he is owed wages from his former law firm employer.

Todd White filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against TLC Legal Services Inc. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from June through September he was employed by the defendant as a non-exempt legal assistant. He alleges he was required to work during meal and rest periods and had wages withheld. He also alleges the defendant did not maintain accurate time records.

The plaintiff holds TLC Legal Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to produce timecard records to enable plaintiff to properly calculate his unpaid wages and failed to pay plaintiff minimum and overtime wages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, final injunction, appointment of a receivership, restitution and disgorgement, attorneys’ fees, costs and other relief as the court deems just. He is representing himself.
