LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles company alleges that an Indiana resident and Indiana and China-based companies sell automotive accessories that infringes its patents.
Drop Stop LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jian Qing "Johnny" Zhu, Zake International Inc., Zake USA, 3BTech Inc. and Shenzhen Zhouwu Technology Co. LTD alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it is the inventor of an automobile device that fits between a seat and the console to prevent consumers' items from getting lodged in that space. The plaintiff holds Jian Qing "Johnny" Zhu, Zake International Inc., Zake USA, 3BTech Inc. and Shenzhen Zhouwu Technology Co. LTD responsible because the defendants allegedly sells the ChiTronic automotive accessories that infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's '291 patent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's patents, all damages, treble damages plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Guy Ruttenberg of Ruttenberg IP Law in Los Angeles.
