Copyright 10

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles photographer alleges a clothing retailer used his photographs without this permission.

Alan V. Satterwhite filed a complaint on Nov. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Richard Hendrix LLC, doing business as Union Los Angeles, and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages as the result of his photographs being used without his consent. The plaintiff holds Richard Hendrix LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly displayed plaintiff's photographs publicly on their tumblr account in 2014 without his authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's photographs, actual damages and disgorgement, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Joanna Ardalan of One LLP in Beverly Hills and John Tehranian of One LLP in Newport Beach.
