Patents 06

LOS ANGELES – A Rancho Cucamonga corporation alleges a Carson company manufactures disposal products that are similar to its patented designs.

Janibell Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jobar International Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its refuse receptacle patent being infringed. The plaintiff holds Jobar International Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to cease selling its infringing products, which include an incontinence disposal pail and other products, despite receiving plaintiff's cease-and-desist notice.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, trebling of damages, enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and interest, plus any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Dariush Adli, Drew H. Sherman and Peter Huant of Adli Law Group PC in Los Angeles.
