Glass Garage Door Corp. accuses ARM-R-Lite Door Manufacturing of infringing patent

Patents 08

LOS ANGELES – A Pomona company that manufactures insulated glass panel garage doors alleges a New Jersey business manufactures a garage door that uses its patented technology.

Glass Garage Door Corp. filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against ARM-R-Lite Door Manufacturing Co. Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds ARM-R-Lite Door Manufacturing Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly offers for sale a garage door that infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's '414 patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunction against the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's patents, damages, treble of damages, lost profits, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by David A. Dillard, Katherine L. Quigley and Drew Wilson of Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP in Glendale.
