LOS ANGELES – A South Korean corporation alleges a Los Angeles-based retailer used its designs on garments without authorization.
C&SM Int'l filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Forever 21 Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Forever 21 Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and distributed garments made out of fabrics that are similar or identical to plaintiff's designs.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's designs, award all profits to the plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just.
