LOS ANGELES – A California corporation alleges several vendors used its designs on their garments without permission.
Unicolors Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against American International Co., doing business as Unique Spectrum; Ross Stores Inc., doing business as DD's Discounts; 618 Main Clothing Corp., doing business as Madrag; 10 Spot; and Does 1 to 10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds American International Co., doing business as Unique Spectrum; Ross Stores Inc., doing business as DD's Discounts; 618 Main Clothing Corp., doing business as Madrag; 10 Spot; and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold and distributed garments that bear plaintiff's designs.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, award all profits and damages to the plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just.
