LOS ANGELES – A Lake Elsinore automotive business claims it suffered economic losses because of the quality of paint it was sold.
Z Best Body and Paint Shops Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Sherwin-Williams Co. and Does 1 through 10 alleging breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business due to the defects in paint jobs they did for their customers that were completed using the defendants' paints. The plaintiff holds The Sherwin-Williams Co. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly supplied the plaintiff defective paint products.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $7,500,000 plus interest, legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Barry M. Walker, James R. Boyd and Amy M. Oakden of Walker Trial Lawyers LLP in Canyon Lake.
