Adobe alleges counterfeit versions of software are sold on eBay by user

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Jose software developer alleges a Pennsylvania individual sells counterfeit versions of its products.

Adobe Systems Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Fraz Tanvir and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has been damaged by the defendants' actions. The plaintiff holds Tanvir and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold counterfeit versions of the plaintiff's products on eBay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, award of defendants’ profits, consequential and compensatory damages, actual damages, restitution, permanent injunction, asset freeze or constructive trust.
