LOS ANGELES – An African-American woman alleges she was unfairly treated during her employment with a federal agency.
Lashanda Roberts filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Social Security Administration and Does 1 to 10 alleging discrimination.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced discrimination due to her race/color during her employment with the defendant. The plaintiff holds The Social Security Administration and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide her with the same training, made false accusations concerning her performance and terminated her because of her race and disabilities.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks reinstatement, lost wages and benefits, general damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Mark Weidmann, Lindsey Chessum and Candace Rodriguez of Weidmann & Associates PC in Los Angeles.
