LOS ANGELES – A New York photographer claims his photo of Run-DMC was used for merchandise without his authorization.
Glen E. Friedman filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Live Nation Merchandise Inc., Anthill Trading LLC, YS Garments Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages as the result of his photograph being used without his authority. The plaintiff holds Live Nation Merchandise Inc., Anthill Trading LLC, YS Garments Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly produced shirts that contain plaintiff's photograph.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award all profits to the plaintiff, enjoin the defendants, all damages, legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Douglas A. Linde and Erica A. Gonzales of The Linde Law Firm in Los Angeles.
