LOS ANGELES – A Riverside County individual is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.
United States of America filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Merced A. Ewing alleging that the individual failed to settle a debt with the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, Ewing allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of a debt plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $7,947 plus interest of $12,993 with interest accruing thereafter at 8.53 percent per annum, and all legal fees. It is represented by Kathryn E. Van Houten of Irsfeld, Irsfeld & Younger LLP in Glendale.
