Neman Bros. claims textile design was used without permission

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County-based company in the apparel industry claims one of its designs was used unlawfully.

Neman Bros. & Assoc. Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against True Destiny LLC, Ross Stores Inc., doing business as DD's Discounts Inc., and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it is the owner of the design NB120109xxx. The plaintiff holds True Destiny LLC, Ross Stores Inc., doing business as DD's Discounts Inc., and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed garments made from fabrics that contain plaintiff's design without authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
