IV Solutions alleges United Healthcare owes more than $45,000

LOS ANGELES – A health care provider alleges an insurance company has not paid it for services it provided to its members.

IV Solutions Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against United Healthcare Services Inc. and Does 1 through 500 alleging fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from not being paid for its services. The plaintiff holds United Healthcare Services Inc. and Does 1 through 500 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their contractual agreement with the plaintiff by not paying the agreed-upon rates for 121 of the defendant's members from 2010 to 2015.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of $47,301,910.74 plus interest of 10 percent per annum, exemplary damages, restitution, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
