Royal Printex claims companies unlawfully used two fabric designs

LOS ANGELES – A Vernon corporation alleges its copyrighted fabric designs were used in garments without its permission.

Royal Printex Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Bonanza.com Inc., Kiwi Product Inc., Sunny Bee Fashion Inc., IFavor123.com and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its copyrighted designs R21264 and R221457 being used on other products. The plaintiff holds Bonanza.com Inc., Kiwi Products Inc., Sunny Bee Fashion Inc., IFavor123.com and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and sold garments to the public that bear plaintiff's designs without authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's designs, award all profits and damages to the plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott A. Burroughs, Trevor W. Barrett and Justin M. Gomes of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
