The Tire Hanger Corp. alleges Shinn Fu Co.'s Omega Wheel Arm infringes patents

Patents 08

LOS ANGELES – A Rancho Cucamonga tire hanger manufacturer claims a company with a Missouri office is manufacturing similar products in violation of the plaintiff's patents.

The Tire Hanger Corp. filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Shinn Fu Co. of America Inc. and Shinn Fu Corp. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Shinn Fu Co. of America Inc. and Shinn Fu Corp. responsible because the defendants allegedly designed the Omega Wheel Arm product that purportedly infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's '610 patent and the plaintiff's '897 patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, all legal fees plus interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by John D. van Loben Sels and Jennifer J. Shih of Fish & Tsang LLP in Redwood City.
