SANTA ANA – An Orange County man claims he received unwanted calls from a Los Angeles County business attempting to sell him mortgage services.
Paul Sapan filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Masterman Roche Inc., doing business as Huntington Group, alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he suffered damages from receiving unwanted calls on his home phone from the defendant attempting to sell him mortgage services. The plaintiff holds Masterman Roche Inc., doing business as Huntington Group, responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite his number being registered in the Do-Not-Call registry.
The plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages, permanent injunction against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Christopher J. Reichman of Prato & Reichman APC in San Diego.
