Life On Air Inc. seeks judgment regarding use of Houseparty mark

SAN FRANCISCO — A San Francisco company that provides a live video streaming platform is seeking the court's judgment regarding an allegation of trademark infringement from an Alameda company.

Life On Air Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Chathouse Inc. seeking declaratory relief.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Life On Air Inc. suffered damages to it business from being accused of infringing the Houseparty trademark by the defendant. The plaintiff holds Chathouse Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly claims ownership of the Houseparty mark despite abandoning its trademark application for it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks declare that the plaintiff does not infringe defendant's trademark, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
